Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Pensacola and Crestview! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a warm, professional, and efficient experience. Your expertise in medical administrative support, electronic health records (EHR) management, and health insurance knowledge will help streamline clinic operations and enhance patient care. This position does require travel between our Pensacola and Crestview locations. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service while managing check-in and check-out procedures. Schedule appointments accurately using EMR systems such as Nextech. Verify patient insurance coverage, process medical billing and collections with precision, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems by reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness. Handle phone communication professionally, answer inquiries, and coordinate appointment reminders with excellent phone etiquette. Assist with medical coding tasks including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and documentation review to support accurate billing processes. Maintain organized medical records, file documents securely, and perform data entry tasks such as 10-key typing efficiently. Support clinical staff by managing care plans documentation and facilitating smooth front desk operations in a busy clinic setting. Experience Previous clinic or healthcare office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with medical office management is a plus. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Nextech. Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare and Medicaid billing procedures. Experience with medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/ICD coding), CPT coding, and medical billing practices is highly desirable. Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Demonstrated clerical experience involving filing, document review, and administrative support in a healthcare environment. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and communication purposes. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality according to clinical confidentiality policies while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
