Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a healthcare setting in Pinellas Park, Florida. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming patient experience while keeping appointments, records, and communications organized. The role requires strong administrative skills, comfort with patient-facing responsibilities, and a solid understanding of basic medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and visitors, provide front-desk assistance, and ensure a positive first impression of the practice.
- Manage patient check-in activities, confirm appointment details, and update demographic or insurance information as needed.
- Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries appropriately, and relay accurate messages to clinical or administrative staff.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and help maintain an efficient daily calendar for providers and patients.
- Perform routine reception and clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized front office records.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding office procedures, forms, and next steps during their visit.
- Support smooth office workflow by collaborating with staff and addressing front-desk issues in a timely manner. Requirements
- Prior experience in a medical front office or medical receptionist position.
- Demonstrated ability to handle patient check-in and general reception responsibilities efficiently.
- Working knowledge of basic medical terminology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented and courteous approach.
