Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. Your responsibilities will include managing patient appointments, handling medical and dental administrative tasks, and supporting the smooth operation of the clinic. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for providing outstanding patient service. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using dental practice management software Collect and process payments, including medical collections and insurance co-pays Verify patient insurance coverage and assist with benefits inquiries using systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations Handle phone communication with patients, insurance companies, and vendors with excellent phone etiquette Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems, including data entry, filing, and retrieval of patient information Assist with billing procedures, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and medical billing processes as needed Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, updating care plans, and managing medical records efficiently Ensure clinic operations run smoothly by performing clerical tasks such as filing, typing (including 10 key typing), and data entry Skills Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting with strong clinic experience Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth Knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA compliance, and health information management Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and communication purposes Ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings is a plus Experience with front desk operations such as scheduling, phone etiquette, filing, and office management Attention to detail in documentation review and accuracy in medical records management Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining professionalism Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional dental care while supporting your professional growth!
Pay:
