EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Verify demographic information, insurance coverage, referrals, and authorizations. Collect co-pays, balances, and required documentation. Register new patients and update existing patient records. Ensure all patient forms are completed accurately and entered into the EMR system. Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately. Check-Out Responsibilities Schedule follow-up appointments, testing, and procedures as directed by providers. Review provider instructions and coordinate patient care plans. Process referrals and obtain necessary authorizations. Collect payments and provide receipts. Ensure patients receive all required documentation before leaving the office. Medical Assistant Responsibilities Room patients and document medical history, medications, allergies, and vital signs. Assist physicians and providers with patient care and clinical workflows. Triage patient phone calls and relay information to providers as appropriate. Process prescription refill requests according to office protocols. Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinical supplies. Assist with patient education and follow-up instructions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system. Administrative Duties Manage appointment scheduling and patient communications. Coordinate with insurance companies, pharmacies, and referring providers. Assist with medical records requests and other clerical duties. Support office operations across multiple locations as needed. Qualifications Required Fluent in both English and Spanish Previous Medical Assistant, Front and Back office experience in a physician office setting. Knowledge of patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and medical office workflows. Experience answering phones and triaging patient concerns. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between office locations when needed. Preferred - Experience in Neurology, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Specialty Care. Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) Electronic Medical Records system. Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required based on experience.
