Overview Join a family friendly orthodontic team as our Orthodontic Receptionist and be the smiling face that sets the tone for exceptional patient care! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and cared for. It can be a fast-paced position at times, but all the while, you'll be making a positive impact on patients' smiles and confidence. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide outstanding customer service at the front desk, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule and manage patient appointments. Collect and process payments, accurately documenting all transactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Handle phone and texting communication with professionalism, using proper etiquette to answer inquiries and coordinate appointment logistics. Perform administrative support tasks such as copying, scanning, and document review. Communicate with other dental offices via phone or email. Run end-of-day and monthly reports. Print out balance sheets. Call missed appointments and reschedule these. Assist with opening and closing of the office daily. Help with computer systems when necessary. Skills Proven experience in dental office management or dental clinic environments with strong clerical skills. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation and communication purposes. Strong understanding of clinical confidentiality policies aligned with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Exceptional customer service skills combined with effective phone etiquette and professional demeanor. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with orthodontic scheduling (using Dolphin software).
