Weekend availability is a plus. Minimum shift length is 6 hours.

00 hourly ABOUT TrufaMED TrufaMED is a physician-led urgent care and concierge medicine clinic in Surfside, steps from Bal Harbour and Miami Beach. We are Florida's only Joint Commission accredited urgent care, with on-site X-ray, lab testing, and ultrasound, plus IV therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and concierge membership programs. The front desk is the first face every patient sees, and we hold it to the same standard as our clinical care: calm, warm, and precise. This role is a strong fit for students in pre-med, nursing, biology, psychology, or health administration who want real patient-facing experience inside a working clinic, alongside board-certified physicians and registered nurses.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Greet and check in urgent care and wellness patients, and keep the lobby running smoothly during busy walk-in periods
• Register patients in our electronic systems and schedule visits, IV therapy, and hyperbaric sessions in our booking software (Jane)
• Verify insurance, collect copays and self-pay payments, and keep payment information on file per clinic policy
• Answer phones and WhatsApp messages: hours, directions, pricing, appointment changes, and general questions
• Apply clinic policies consistently, including cancellation windows and self-pay consent forms, following your training materials
• Route clinical questions correctly: medical concerns get evaluated by a provider in person, never diagnosed over the phone
• Support both sides of the practice: walk-in urgent care and the wellness and concierge side

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fluent English; professional phone manner and clear written communication
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable handling payments accurately
• Able to work on-site in Surfside, FL
• Comfortable learning new software (patient registration, scheduling, and payment systems)
• Discretion with patient information; HIPAA training provided and required

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Spanish fluency (a large share of our patients prefer Spanish); additional languages welcome
• Customer service, hospitality, or front desk experience
• Prior medical office, scheduling software, or EMR exposure
• Interest in a healthcare career
