Job Description

We are an expanding dermatology office seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to manage patient interactions with professionalism and care. Experience in a medical clinic or office is a plus. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes. Schedule appointments efficiently while considering patient needs and provider availability. Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize Modmed software for patient management, including updating medical records and processing billing information. Assist with insurance verification and coordinate referrals as necessary. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding patient needs and appointments. Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions. Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a welcoming environment for patients. Qualifications Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable. Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
