Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an ASC Front Office Coordinator, where your energy and organizational skills will be vital in creating a seamless patient experience. The Front Office Coordinator performs surgery center clerical tasks such as typing, filing, and mail preparation and distributing. Relieve staff members of clerical work and minor administrative and business details by scheduling appointments, giving information to callers, composing and typing routine correspondence, using computer, reading and routing incoming mail, filing correspondence and other records, and other assigned clerical duties. Provide clerical, secretarial, and receptionist support for the surgery center, independently and with minimal supervision. Duties include, but not limited to checking in/out patients, patient scheduling, surgery charge/coding, chart review/audits. Perform other diverse duties as requested or required. Falls under the general and direct supervision of the ASC Clinical Manager. She/he along with the Administrator and ASC Clinical Manager collaborates for surgery center processes to promote cost-effective, efficient quality services throughout the surgery center.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent
Required:
Bilingual Superficial knowledge of the reasons for patient care/services as administered in the surgery center, some knowledge of physiology, anatomy, neurology and medical terminology is desirable and would be preferred. Previous patient contact in a medical practice would be an advantage. Must be able to pay attention to details. Able to operate, including but not limited to, word processor, computer, calculator, FAX machine, telephone, addressing and mailing machine, etc. Medical clerical experience in a hospital, clinic, nursing home or insurance company is preferred, but not required. This role is ideal for candidates with clinic experience or medical office background who thrive in a busy environment. From $16.00 per hour
