Job Description

Dermatology Center of Atlanta, located in Johns Creek, GA, is a privately-owned (not private equity) practice currently looking for a Front Desk Receptionist with at least 2 years of medical office experience to join our team and help us in taking outstanding care of our wonderful patients. This role will rotate between our Check-In position and our Phone Desk. As the first point of contact with our patients, whether on phones or in-person, our Front Desk Receptionist must be a wonderful ambassador of Dermatology Center of Atlanta's brand and be focused on delivering outstanding customer service in all their interactions. Must be a "people person" with exceptional communication skills and attention to detail. Must also work well in a fast-paced, team environment and understand their importance in helping to create an atmosphere of excellence, which is embraced at Dermatology Center of Atlanta, for both our patients and our team. The Front Desk Receptionist position is a full-time opportunity and responsibilities include: Answering phones in a timely, polite manner Accurately schedule appointments for medical and cosmetic appointments using our EMR (we use ModMed) Ability to manage multiple phone lines and work a wait list Provide information in a friendly, knowledgeable way to patients regarding the practice, providers, aesthetic products and procedures. Greeting patients and assisting them with check in patient registration, when needed. Manage patient flow and notifying medical support staff of patient arrival. Ensure required forms, identification, insurance information and demographics are entered correctly into our practice management system. Complete insurance verification prior to patients visit to determine coverage and benefit limits. Broad knowledge of insurance types and plans including Medicare, HMO, PPO, POS. Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality. Effectively communicate relevant information to providers and staff. Other related administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Two years experience in a medical office , preferably in a dermatology, and familiarity with EMR is required. Applicants must have verifiable work history and consent to a background check.
