Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic, dependable, and highly organized Dental Insurance Coordinator / Front Desk team member to join our practice. This position works closely with our front office team to support daily check-in and check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, patient communication, and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will take pride in providing a welcoming, professional experience for every patient while helping our office operate efficiently. This role will also assist with coordinating outside resources for periodic facility needs and may occasionally assist with errands for the office or doctor as needed. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, professional, detail-oriented, and willing to contribute wherever needed to support the team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
- Manage front desk check-in and check-out procedures.
- Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility.
- Post insurance payments accurately and maintain patient account information.
- Prepare, process, and follow up on insurance-related information as needed.
- Operate a multi-line phone system efficiently and professionally.
- Answer patient questions and route calls appropriately.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and office activities.
- Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems.
- Scan, copy, and maintain documents and patient records.
- Perform accurate data entry and general clerical duties.
- Respond to patient inquiries by phone and email with professionalism and courtesy.
- Assist with office calendar management and scheduling.
- Monitor and maintain office supply inventory.
- Coordinate with outside vendors or service providers when needed.
- Assist with occasional office or doctor errands.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable privacy and office procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the entire team to maintain a positive and efficient office environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous administrative, office management, customer service, or clerical experience.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- The ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
- Experience with multi-line phone systems is preferred.
- Strong typing and data-entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
