Team Cobblestone is seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized medical office receptionist to join our growing team. In this role, you will work at the front desk of our office approximately 20 hours per week (1:00pm-6:00pm) and provide assistance to our patients and other visitors. You will be responsible for corresponding with patients, maintaining the organization of our office, and ensuring that our environment is welcoming for our patients and their families.
Job Duties:
Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone. Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays. Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area. Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims. Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs. Communicates with physicians and nurses to obtain prescriptions and signed plans of care. Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree 1+ years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role in a medical facility Strong attention to detail Professional Quality customer service focused Friendly and compassionate disposition Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills Excellent use of technology for process efficiency Strong interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records
