The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional service to patients while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar effectively. Handle phone calls with professionalism, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Process insurance information, including Medicare, and verify patient eligibility. Assist in managing office supplies and equipment to ensure a well-functioning environment. Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and communication. Skills Proficiency in office management practices and procedures. Familiarity with medical terminology is helpful for effective communication. Experience using electronic health record systems is preferred. Strong phone etiquette skills to provide excellent customer service. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
