Job Title:
Medical Front Office Specialist/Medical Scheduling Coordinator Compensation:
Negotiable, based on experience Employment type:
Full Time Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8am
  • 4:30pm Privately owned outpatient rehabilitation facility with multiple locations in Hawaii looking to complement our team.
The team is dedicated, optimistic and fun to work with! A likeminded individual is a must for our Ohana. Our primary focus is unsurpassed patient care and outstanding customer service.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Answering phone calls and emails in a friendly and timely manner
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments & resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur.
  • New patient registration (verifying & inputting patient demographics into company database)
  • General administrative/clerical support
  • Coordinating with doctors' offices & insurances for all referrals, authorizations, and medical records
Required Skills/Experience:
  • This position requires a high level of organization & attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated individual with strong patient service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to work at a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure
  • Ability to operate a computer, basic office equipment and computer programs such as EMR systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF editing software.
Minimum qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. Prior office or customer service experience preferred. 3. Knowledge of referral/authorization process with various insurances. 4. Knowledge of medical terminology such as
ICD-10 & CPT
codes is an advantage.
