Job Description

Job Overview Join our dental practice as a Dental Front Desk Receptionist and become the welcoming face of our clinic! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks with precision and professionalism. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a smooth, efficient, and friendly environment that patients love. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to delivering outstanding dental care and support. This is a seasonal/temporary role with on -the-job training available for the right person. Expected employment dates will be mid to late October until mid to late January. Long-term hiring possible after the temporary period. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software Verify patient insurance coverage, including health insurance knowledge, and other third-party payers Collect payments and perform medical billing and collection activities Maintain accurate medical/dental records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to answer inquiries, confirm appointments, and relay messages Handle administrative support tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records (EHR) Qualifications Prior experience in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred Strong computer skills Knowledge of dental terminology, dental coding, and health information management principles Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Demonstrated clerical experience including filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion in accordance with HIPAA regulations Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Experience with medical or dental settings is advantageous but not required Join us in creating a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for from the moment they walk through our doors!
