Guttenberg Municipal HospitalClinics is seeking a Clinic Receptionist to join our team at Cornerstone Family Practice. As a Clinic Receptionist, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for our patients and visitors. This position is responsible for a variety of front-desk duties that help keep the clinic running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner Answer and appropriately direct incoming phone calls Schedule patient appointments according to clinic guidelines Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information Enter and update information in the electronic health record Create and route patient messages Verify insurance eligibility Collect patient payments and maintain a cash drawer Monitor appointment reminders, incoming faxes, and clinic communications Assist with maintaining an efficient flow of patients through the clinic Assist with general office duties, supplies, and other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of healthcare experience preferred Previous experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate across departments Comfortable working with computers and electronic health records The position requires a high level of attention to detail and frequent interaction with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Wage Range:
