Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, and ensure seamless communication between patients and medical staff. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Verify patient insurance information, process medical collections, and handle billing inquiries with accuracy and professionalism Manage medical records, including filing, documentation review, and electronic health records (EHR) management in compliance with HIPAA regulations Answer multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette, triaging calls and directing inquiries to appropriate staff Assist with clinical administrative tasks such as data entry, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and documentation review to support accurate billing and care plans Maintain a clean and organized front office environment while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies Requirements Ability to work in healthcare environment with strong clerical skills Basic knowledge of medical billing procedures including insurance verification, medical collection processes, Medicare regulations, and health insurance policies Excellent communication skills with phone etiquette proficiency Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication enhances patient experiences every day. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
