This vital role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing administrative and clerical tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical office procedures, and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Your energetic approach will help streamline patient intake, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical documentation review, contributing to exceptional patient service and clinic operations. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing outstanding customer service while managing check-in and check-out processes. Schedule appointments accurately Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorization and pre-authorization procedures, including insurance verification for Medicare and other health plans. Collect and process payments, handle medical collections, and assist with billing tasks in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and taking detailed messages when necessary. Review medical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with clinical confidentiality policies; assist in documentation review processes. Maintain organized medical records, files, and electronic health records (EHR), ensuring proper filing, data entry, and record management Support clinical staff by coordinating patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history forms and updating care plans as needed.
