In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front desk experience. Your expertise in dental administrative support, insurance verification. Will help streamline patient flow and maintain accurate documentation. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette Schedule appointments using Dentrix Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks utilizing systems with Weave and Dental Insurance Websites Collect payments, process dental billing, and handle collections with attention to accuracy and HIPAA compliance Review and update patient records, ensuring proper documentation of treatment plans and clinical notes Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical office role with dental clinic experience preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency with office management software like Meditech or Athenahealth Ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Exceptional customer service skills combined with effective phone communication and clerical experience Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and health information management Prior clinic or hospital experience is advantageous; must be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment Join our team to deliver exceptional patient care while developing your career in healthcare administration!
