Job Description

GI Partners of Illinois, LLC is one of the largest gastroenterology specialty groups in the US and the largest one in IL. We are pleased to be serving our patients, referring physicians and other providers throughout the Chicagoland area. In partnering with the top gastroenterologists in the area, we hope to provide the best possible care for our patients in the most beneficial practice environment. The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff. This position plays a critical role in providing a welcoming and organized environment while ensuring accurate and efficient front-office operations. The receptionist manages patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and communication with clinical staff to support overall patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person's visit and directs or escorts them to the appropriate location. Answer and route incoming phone calls; screen and direct calls to appropriate personnel. Verify patient registration accuracy in both the EMR system and Clearwave before the start of each day. Assist patient with self-check-in kiosks as needed. Ensure all required paperwork is completed and present in the chart before clinical handoff. Update and enter patient information into the system based on Clearwave data. Verify insurance and if needed collect patient co-payments. Assist patients with check-out procedures, including accurately scheduling return appointments and procedures. Print and distribute patient summaries and provide necessary physician orders or instructions. Serve as a reliable source of information regarding the practice's services, procedures, and physician qualifications. Confidently address patient inquiries related to the practice, including products, staff, and general policies. Process no-shows and cancellations, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up for unscheduled patients. Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the waiting area, check-in/check-out stations, and patient restroom. Ensure availability and organization of front-desk and waiting room supplies.
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
