Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM . Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Receptionist to be the first point of contact at our Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) . Our center provides comprehensive behavioral health services, including Outpatient (OP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs, alongside a Methadone/OMT clinic. This role requires proven experience working in a mental health or substance use front office setting and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities Front Office Operations:
Warmly greet and welcome patients/clients accessing our OP/IOP services; maintain a professional and welcoming reception area.
Phone Management:
Manage high-volume, multi-line phone calls, directing calls, taking detailed messages, and responding to general inquiries about our CMHC programs.
Patient Flow & EMR:
Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out process for both IOP and OP clients, verifying ID, scheduling appointments, and updating records directly in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system .
Administrative Support:
Provide support (data entry, filing, document prep) while successfully multi-tasking between phones and patient flow.
Financial:
Process patient/client payments and maintain accurate financial records.
Confidentiality:
Maintain strict confidentiality (HIPAA) and adhere to all clinic policies and ethical standards. Required Qualifications Experience is
REQUIRED
in a front office/receptionist role within a mental health, substance use, or behavioral healthcare setting (e.g., CMHC, IOP, OP). Proven experience utilizing and navigating an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for check-in, scheduling, and documentation. Demonstrated ability to efficiently multi-task and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred). Strong communication, organizational, and professionalism skills.
