$19.09 to $26.83 Hourly Rate (Based on years of experience) plus shift and weekend differentials. Lake Forest Place | Part Time | Skilled Nursing Department |4pm-7pm| Monday through Friday. Engagement events and 24/7 chaplain counseling for emotional/spiritual support Key Responsibilities This position floats between nursing units and carries a pager to be contacted by unit staff when there is a need for unit secretary services. Handles telephone communications, takes action or delivers messages as necessary. Assumes responsibility for special projects as assigned by nurse. This includes but is not limited to initiating and participating in activities on an "as needed" basis. Handles clerical responsibilities associated with admissions and discharges and notifies appropriate departments. The Foster Pavilion unit secretary orders name plates for residents' doors and keeps biographies up to date. Takes photographs of residents at admission for MAR and those at risk for wandering. Prepares and keeps current activity boards and other logs as assigned. Qualifications & Skills High school graduate. Minimum of one year work experience. Secretarial or clerical experience. Reading, writing, and comprehension skilled needed to use medical terminology on the job. Good communication skills. Long-term care experience preferred but not required.
