Job Description

Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed. Duties Greet and check-in patients as they arrive Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member Schedule and confirm patient appointments using the office's scheduling system (WinOMS) Maintain patient records and update any necessary information Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims Collect payments from patients for services rendered Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents Ensure the reception area is clean and organized Qualifications Previous experience working as a dental receptionist (at least one year) Knowledge of dental terminology Familiar with medical/dental billing Professional and courteous Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks Professional demeanor and appearance Be open to feedback Must be able to verify insurance benefits Contribute to a positive team environment
