Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a Unit Secretary for our Med/Surg/TCU/ICU Department. This is a PRN position, rotating shift. Under the supervision of the Department of Nursing, this position performs the receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit; serves as the focal communication source in the nursing station through interaction with patients, visitors, staff, other departments and physicians; and assists the staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the hospital.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma, or equivalent CNA, preferred Unit Secretary Experience, preferred

SKILLS:

Customer Skills Basic Computer Skills Clerical Skills with Heavy Phone Use Required use of Electronic Medical Record System (Cerner) Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation, on the job training available.
