Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our busy dental practice as a Check Out Specialist. In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk, ensuring smooth patient flow and exceptional customer service. Your expertise in dental billing, insurance processing, and electronic health records (EHR) management will help deliver a seamless patient experience from check-in to check-out. Duties Greet patients warmly Manage patient check-out processes including billing, payment collection and treatment estimates Review and update patient records accurately Administrative support tasks including appointment scheduling and phone communication Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information and clinical documentation review Assist with documentation review for accuracy and completeness related to care plans and billing procedures Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries about insurance coverage, payment options, and clinic policies Maintain professionalism in phone etiquette and customer service interactions while managing front desk responsibilities Qualifications Proven experience in a dental office setting with strong clerical skills and familiarity with dental insurance and treatment estimates Demonstrated ability to handle dental records management with attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with a friendly yet professional demeanor Strong computer skills including proficiency in Dentrix preferred Dental clinic experience is required Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy in documentation review and data entry Knowledge of healthcare confidentiality policies such as HIPAA is essential for safeguarding patient information We are hiring for a minimum of 32 hours a week but you could get more hours if desired or needed. Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 38.0 per week
