Luxia Dental is looking for a friendly, dependable person who is coachable, takes initiative, and enjoys helping people. No dental experience is required. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates and applicants with customer service experience are preferred. We're hiring ahead of our anticipated growth over the next few months, so you have time to learn, gain confidence, and become a strong member of our team. About the Role This is primarily a front desk position with occasional support for our dental assistants. You'll receive hands-on training while shadowing our front desk staff and treatment coordinator, then gradually take on responsibilities independently. Your Responsibilities Welcome patients and assist with check-in, checkout, and paperwork. Answer calls, schedule appointments, and send confirmations. Update patient records accurately and protect confidential information. Learn insurance eligibility, benefits verification, and basic dental terminology. Assist with payments and scheduling follow-up visits. Help dental assistants when needed, within your training and permitted duties. Keep the front desk organized and support the office's daily workflow. What Will Help You Succeed Being open to feedback and putting it into practice. Showing up on time and following through on tasks. Communicating warmly and professionally with patients and coworkers. Paying attention to details and asking questions when unsure. Being comfortable with computers and learning new software. Taking initiative and helping wherever you're needed. Training and Growth We're ready to invest in your development. You'll learn reception, scheduling, insurance basics, and how our treatment coordinator supports patients. As your skills grow, you'll have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities.
