Job Description

Description We are seeking a professional and compassionate Medical Front Desk Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is responsible for managing front office operations, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, handling intake paperwork, and supporting a positive patient experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities:

+ Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner

+ Answer and route incoming phone calls

+ Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments

+ Check patients in and out and maintain accurate records

+ Verify insurance eligibility and collect copays or outstanding balances

+ Assist with patient intake forms and update demographic information

+ Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA guidelines

+ Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow

+ Manage filing, scanning, faxing, and other administrative duties

+ Address patient questions and escalate concerns when appropriate Requirements

+ High school diploma or equivalent required + 1+ years of front desk, receptionist, or administrative experience in a medical office preferred

+ Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred

+ Working knowledge of insurance verification and medical scheduling is a plus

+ Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills

+ Ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment
