Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to support a busy healthcare team. This role is responsible for coordinating surgical appointments, managing patient schedules, and ensuring all pre-operative requirements are completed accurately and on time. Mandatory prior patient scheduling experience is required for success in this position.
Schedule surgical procedures, follow-up visits, and related patient appointments based on provider availability and facility requirements.
Communicate directly with patients, physicians, clinical staff, and surgical centers to coordinate timely scheduling.
Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required authorizations prior to scheduling.
Ensure all necessary documentation, referrals, and pre-op testing are completed before procedures.
Provide patients with clear instructions regarding surgery dates, preparation requirements, and arrival times.
Update scheduling systems and electronic medical records with accurate and timely information.
Handle appointment changes, cancellations, and urgent scheduling needs professionally and efficiently.
Maintain a high level of customer service while supporting patient satisfaction and responsiveness.
Hours:
