Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, providing exceptional patient service, and maintaining the integrity of medical records. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or dental office setting and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing them with necessary information and assistance. Manage multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Perform insurance verification and assist with dental billing processes. Assist with the intake process for new patients, including collecting necessary information and updating care plans. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing office correspondence. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care. Skills Proficient in medical/dental terminology and health information management. Experience with medical administrative support and front desk operations in a clinic. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff. Ability to handle clerical tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances patient communication. Knowledge of medical/dental terminology is a plus for those applying in dental settings.
