[$18 per hour, Experience Required] Job Summary Our established private family practice is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our patient-centered team. This role requires a dependable professional who is comfortable managing front-office operations, supporting providers, and delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities Greet and assist patients with professionalism and warmth Answer multi-line phone systems and manage high call volume Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars efficiently Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and collect copays Check patients in and out while ensuring accurate documentation Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) Process referrals, prior authorizations, and medical records requests Coordinate with clinical staff to support patient flow Ensure compliance with HIPAA and office policies Handle front-desk administrative tasks and maintain organized work areas Required Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of recent medical receptionist experience as a in a family practice or similar medical setting Familiarity with insurance plans, referrals, and prior authorizations Experience using EHR/EMR systems Strong multitasking and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Dependable, detail-oriented, and professional Preferred Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant Knowledge of medical terminology Experience working in a private medical practice setting Bilingual skills (a plus, not required) Schedule [Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm, Friday 7am-4pm] No weekends or major holidays Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Stable schedule and supportive team environment How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your resume.
