Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for patient service, and a strong background in medical office management. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and handle all front desk interactions with professionalism and enthusiasm Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently while verifying insurance information and updating records Answer multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages Maintain accurate medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies Assist with billing procedures including medical collections, insurance claims processing, and Medicare or health insurance verifications Support clinical staff by managing medical records, documentation review, and coordinating care plans as needed Qualifications Proven experience in a dental office environment with strong clerical and administrative skills Familiarity with EagleSoft Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typing (including 10-key) Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion following clinical confidentiality policies Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Prior clinic experience involving medical scheduling, filing, and electronic health records management is highly desirable Join our team to make a difference in patients' lives through friendly service and efficient healthcare support!
