Answer and distribute phone calls and emails, take accurate messages and route to the appropriate staff. Front Office Specialist greets patients and confirms necessary paperwork is in order, collect mandatory data, explain important financial/privacy information, Appointment scheduling: Use clinic computer systems efficiently, assign patients to available Doctors' time according to Scheduling Guidelines for a multi-specialty ophthalmology clinic, Clerical duties and other office duties including -- but not limited to -- patient greeting and check-in, outgoing calls and internet searches for insurance authorizations, and other clerical responsibilities, Ability to learn and understand medical terminology, basic anatomy and pharmacology, Maintain patient and clinic confidentiality through established procedures. Be on time and reliable. Skills - Previous experience in an ophthalmic or optometric environment is ideal; similar experience in patient facing medical office preferred, True customer service attitude, quick-learning skills, Collaboration with co-workers and flexibility a must, Aptitude with personal computer, attention to detail, data entry, ability to learn and adapt to efficient use of clinic software a must, (Medical Receptionist, Ophthalmology, Optometry, eyecare),

$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
