Medical Records Clerk/ Receptionist Heartland Villa Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Lewisport, KY 42351 Full-time Full-time Our facility has a full-time career opportunity available for a Medical Records Clerk to join our team! The Medical Records Clerk will be responsible for maintaining, updating, filing, auditing, releasing and storing medical records. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical terminology and possess excellent organizational skills.
Job Duties:
Correctly transcribes doctor's orders, medical terminology, medical and other related abbreviations, metric and English measurements, etc. Maintains, updates, files, and stores all Medical Records as required. Mail/deliver forms to physicians for completion to the extent permitted by regulations. Answers correspondence in a timely manner regarding release of information from medical records. Audits medical record information relating to Medicare and Utilization Review requirements. Audits records in preparation for the release of records to outside parties. Knowledge of medical terminology. Maintain confidentiality of all resident information and facility business.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED required Six months of long-term care experience preferred
