Our Medical Receptionists are the first point of contact for our patients and play a vital role in creating a positive patient experience. This position works closely with patients, providers, and clinical staff to ensure the efficient operation of our front office. Responsibilities include patient registration, scheduling, maintaining accurate medical records, and providing exceptional customer service at our Fountain Court office in Lexington, KY. Essential Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner. Verify patient demographics, insurance, and other required information by interviewing patients and confirming the purpose of their visit. Check patients in and out while ensuring all patient information is accurate and current. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments both in person and over the phone. Maintain the confidentiality and security of patient records in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Assist with front office operations, including answering phones, directing calls, and supporting administrative workflows. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized reception area while following established policies and procedures. Monitor and replenish office supplies, place orders as needed, and verify deliveries. Ensure office equipment is operating properly by following maintenance procedures, troubleshooting minor issues, and coordinating repairs when necessary. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and professional standards. Contribute to a positive team environment by taking initiative, supporting coworkers, and identifying opportunities to improve office efficiency and patient satisfaction. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred. Experience with EMR systems and basic computer skills. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
