A full-service Immigration, Criminal Defense and Personal Injury law firm based in Baton Rouge, LA, seeking to hire an experienced full-time Receptionist - Bilingual (English/Spanish) to answer and direct incoming calls, provide administrative support work, process and distribute mail and process outgoing mail. Job Duties include, but are not limited to: Warmly welcome guests Direct clients/visitors to the appropriate person and office Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls Schedule and confirm appointments Ensures reception, conference room, and office areas are maintained to firm standards. Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries Manage conference rooms, reserves and confirms appointments, adjusts conference rooms as necessary and notifies appropriate parties of changes or updates Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk Update calendars Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing and photocopying Other tasks and duties as assigned from time to time
Education, Experience and Skills:
•Must Speak Spanish and English•High School or equivalent and related experience and / or training Proven work experience in a related field Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Hands-on experience with office equipment Professional appearance Interact effectively and professionally with all attorneys, administration, staff, clients, vendors and other outside parties. Solid written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail Able to use judgement to make sound, justifiable recommendations and to know when and to whom to escalate issues Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks Customer service attitude Work effectively in a culturally and educationally diverse environment.
