Job Summary A full-time Medical Receptionist opportunity is available in Shreveport, LA for a dependable, patient-focused front office professional with healthcare administrative experience. This temp-to-hire role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact for patients, supporting clinical teams, and helping a busy medical office operate smoothly. This position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to grow within a professional healthcare setting. Candidates who are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office will be well positioned for success. Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors, provide professional customer service, and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a courteous, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Schedule appointments, maintain provider calendars, and support daily patient flow.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation.
  • Create, update, scan, file, and maintain accurate patient records and office documents.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, clinical staff, and outside providers. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay:
    $14.00 to $16.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Schedule:
    Monday-Friday, full-time.

  • Manage front desk reception, patient check-in, check-out, and daily administrative support.
  • Handle patient scheduling, phone support, documentation, and office communication.
  • Enter, update, and retrieve patient information in EMR/EHR or medical practice systems.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, Medical Front Desk Coordinator, Healthcare Administrative Assistant, or similar role.
  • 1-2 years of related medical office or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service, phone etiquette, and professional communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information accurately and professionally.
  • Stable work history, dependable attendance, and a professional attitude. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using NextGen, Meditech, Epic, or other EMR/EHR systems.
  • Knowledge of patient scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, and medical terminology.
  • Experience working in a physician's office, clinic, specialty practice, or healthcare setting.
