Dermatology Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am-4pm; Tuesday, Thursday 9am-5pm (~37 hrs/week)
Salary:
$34,000-$39,500/year, based on experience Job Overview Our dermatology practice is looking for a personable, detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our front office team. You'll be the first point of contact for our patients — answering phones, managing the schedule, and keeping check-in and checkout running smoothly. This role is a great fit for someone who's organized, comfortable multitasking, and genuinely enjoys working with patients. Duties Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out using Nextech practice management software Answer a multi-line phone system, schedule and reschedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries professionally Enter visit charges and CPT codes into Nextech at checkout so patients know their balance on the spot Verify insurance eligibility prior to appointments File and maintain patient charts, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance) Prepare intake paperwork and assist clinical staff with day-to-day office flow as needed Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office or front-desk role preferred (dermatology or specialty practice experience a plus) Experience with Nextech or similar practice management software a plus; willing to train the right person Strong phone etiquette and communication skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Basic familiarity with insurance verification and charge entry helpful, but willing to train Reliable, personable, and detail-oriented Benefits Paid time off 401(k)
