Job Description
Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized, ability to be a team player, detailed orientated, professional Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and maintaining accurate medical records. This role requires excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of healthcare documentation and terminology. Experience with Dentrix, or similar platforms is preferred. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering exceptional patient service. We are looking for a highly reliable person who has kindness and professionalism. Salary Negotiable. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive patient experience. Maintaining professional inter-office relationships with fellow team members. Collaboration with other team members to ensure the best possible experience for all team members and patients. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental office management software, Dentrix. Collect payments, process billing, and handle collections accurately. Manage patient intake forms and ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations. Obtain and input patient information and maintain data records with accuracy. Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; handle patient inquiries efficiently. Maintain organized filing of dental records, insurance documents, and other administrative files. Assist with front desk duties including appointment reminders, patient check-in/out procedures, and data entry using Microsoft Office or other office software. Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate care and ensure seamless clinic operations. Skills Experience in dental office receptionist, dental clinic experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, CDT coding, and healthcare documentation standards. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix Familiarity with health information management practices including HIPAA compliance. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10 key), and familiarity with office management software like Dentrix. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and documentation review. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and good interoffice skills.
