In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate appointments, handle patient inquiries, and ensure smooth communication between patients and medical staff. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures Manage appointment scheduling using electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring optimal flow of patient visits Handle incoming phone calls with professionalism, addressing patient questions and directing inquiries to appropriate staff members Verify patient insurance information, explain coverage details, and assist with health insurance questions using knowledge of managed care and third-party billing processes Enter accurate data into EHR systems, including patient demographics, medical histories, and visit details Facilitate internal communication among medical staff to coordinate appointments, test results, and administrative updates Assist with revenue cycle management tasks such as insurance claims processing and billing documentation Maintain organized records of patient files, appointment logs, and correspondence in compliance with privacy regulations Experience Prior administrative experience within healthcare settings is highly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation and reporting purposes Strong understanding of health insurance policies, managed care procedures, and third-party billing processes Experience managing schedules effectively to optimize clinic flow and reduce wait times Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) management systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and internal correspondence Demonstrated ability to handle data entry accurately while maintaining attention to detail Familiarity with revenue cycle management processes including insurance claims submission and follow-up This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a compassionate healthcare environment while honing their administrative skills.
