Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Unit Receptionist responsibilities: telephone, visitor assistance, specimen delivery, phone calls, mail distribution. Maintenance of the medical records located on the Nursing Unit. Is responsible for the performance of clerical duties on the Nursing Unit. It is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required.
Education/Experience Required:
Current knowledge of Medical Terminology - Must have taken and successfully completed a Medical Terminology Course within the past 2 years (or be able to pass a medical terminology competency equivalent to final exam of medical terminology course at time of interview). Must demonstrate ability to perform variety of clerical duties. Must be able to transcribe information & medication orders into electronic medical system accurately. Previous EPIC experience preferred. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well in stressful situations. Graduate of medical assistant/secretary program with 6-12 months experience preferred. Previous Unit Coordinator experience is preferred.
Registration/Certification:
MUST have current Notary or obtained within 30 days.

Pay Range:
$18.81 - $33.00 This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
