In this role, you'll welcome patients, manage registration and co pays, schedule appointments, and keep the office running smoothly—all while being a key part of an engaged, collaborative team.
What you will do: Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department. Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting. Verifies active primary and secondary third-party payer insurance coverage eligibility with the payers via prescribes format. Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols in order to maximize provider productivity. Accurately registers patients ensuring that the information required is obtained confirming identity, address, phone numbers, PCP, insurance, co-pay and other pertinent information in order to complete patient registration.
