They will be responsible for greeting all visitors and customers, while performing safe deposit rental services to customers and maintain records in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide service consistent with the WSB Bill of Rights with a warm welcome, courteous service and a pleasant closing ensuring a great customer experience. Greet and welcome visitors and customers and direct them to the appropriate department staff; Notify appropriate staff when visitors arrive and direct them as required. Ensure that all vendors follow all entry requirements. Obtain answers to customer inquiries related to Bank procedures and regulations. Communicate all escalated situations beyond the scope of the safe deposit attendant's knowledge or authority to a member of the branch management team. Provide customer access to safe deposit boxes as requested; ensure that all related procedures are completed, including those related to identification requirements. Complete safe deposit box account closings as requested and update all related records including logs, according to the Bank's policies and procedures. Inspect safe deposit box area after each customer visit to ensure that no personal items are left behind and the area is orderly and ready for other customers. Assist with the coordination of safe deposit lock changes and be present during abandon box drillings as needed. Order replacement safe deposit box keys as necessary. Maintain the Main Office Branch coffee station and check writing desks to ensure they are neat, clean and ready for customers. Request necessary supplies; coffee, hot chocolate, sugar/creamers and cups from Facilities and replenish as needed. Ensure contract cards and access cards are maintained in order. Complete specialized projects as assigned. Represent the Bank at local community events and business organizations in support of the Bank's outreach efforts and core business values. Foster and maintain a good working relationship with other departments to meet customer/employee needs. Performs related clerical duties as necessary.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent 3-6 months customer contact experience Previous understanding of safe deposit box access requirements, billing procedures and survivorship procedures. Proven ability to utilize standard office equipment including computer and phone systems. Proven ability to work independently, stay organized while obtaining timely solutions to customer inquiries. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to internal and external customers. Good interpersonal skills that foster and maintain good working relationships.
