Cannon Dermatology is a modern, single-physician DIRECT care dermatology practice. Because we operate outside of the traditional insurance model, we prioritize unhurried, highly personalized care and exceptional patient relationships. We are looking for a versatile, warm, organized and detail-oriented Front Desk/Office Support Staff member to manage our front desk and provide clinical back-office support. This person will keep our practice running smoothly and serve as a wonderful first and main point of contact for our patients! From greeting patients and clearing rooms to handling back-office paperwork and communicating with labs and outside companies, you will ensure our clinic operates efficiently. We are looking for a multi-tasker who loves interacting with people and thrives in a close-knit, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Flow:
Greet patients warmly, assist with clinical flow by clearing and prepping rooms, and create a calm, welcoming clinic atmosphere.
Communications:
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient emails and texts promptly and professionally.
Schedule Management:
Monitor, manage, and optimize the daily schedule for the provider(s).
Administrative Support:
Handle back-office paperwork, documentation, and data entry.
External Coordination:
Interface seamlessly with outside labs, diagnostic facilities, and insurance companies (when applicable) to coordinate patient care and test results.
Membership & Office Operations:
Assist with member onboarding, supply inventories, and maintaining a tidy reception area. Front Office & Patient Hospitality Welcome patients with a warm, professional demeanor and maintain a pristine boutique-office environment. Manage patient scheduling, phone inquiries, and text/email correspondence with a high-touch, concierge approach. Educate prospective patients on our unique direct-care model and fee structure. Process patient payments and manage basic daily financial tracking. Clinical Back Office Support Room patients and help clean/clear rooms after each patient Maintain and restock exam rooms Manage the pathology log, track lab results, and handle patient callbacks under the doctor's direction. Assist with prior authorizations, interface with representatives from associated vendors Clean and sterilize surgical instruments
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office environment (Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, or Concierge Medicine experience is a strong plus).
Tech-Savvy:
Proficiency with modern technology and scheduling platforms.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain the direct care model confidently.
