Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Procedure Coordinator to join our busy ENT medical office. This role is responsible for coordinating in-office and hospital-based procedures, obtaining authorizations, scheduling appointments, and ensuring patients receive clear instructions and support throughout the process. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, attention to detail, and prior experience in a medical office or surgical scheduling environment. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule ENT procedures and surgeries with physicians, hospitals, surgery centers, and patients Obtain insurance authorizations and verify benefits for procedures and diagnostic testing Communicate pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients Prepare and maintain accurate patient documentation and scheduling records Coordinate referrals, medical clearances, and required testing prior to procedures Serve as a liaison between providers, patients, insurance companies, and outside facilities Answer patient questions regarding scheduling, preparation, and procedure logistics Ensure compliance with HIPAA and office policies Assist with additional front office or administrative duties as needed Qualifications Previous experience in medical scheduling, surgery coordination, or healthcare administration preferred Experience in ENT, surgical specialties, or multi-provider practices is a plus Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office High school diploma or equivalent required Preferred Skills Familiarity with medical terminology and
