Frederick, MD Newbridge Spine and Pain Center , an interventional pain management practice, is seeking a Temporary Medical Receptionist for short-term coverage at our Frederick, MD office. In this role, you will support the daily functions of the front office to ensure a high-quality, patient-centered experience within our Clinic and Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC). We are seeking immediate coverage for a temporary assignment working standard office hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Perform daily front office functions, including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, and monitoring patient flow and wait times. Provide a high-quality, patient-centered experience, ensuring exceptional customer service. Support front-end operations, including pre-registration, insurance verification, authorizations, co-pay collection, and daily cash receipt reconciliation. Maintain accurate patient documentation and coordinate with billing teams using our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Perform other general administrative front-desk duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Previous administrative or front-desk experience in a medical office or ambulatory care setting. Familiarity with insurance verification, authorizations, scheduling, and co-pay collection. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems (Athena experience is strongly preferred). Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor. Compensation $18-$21/hr, commensurate with experience Newbridge Spine & Pain Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
