Job Description
Primary Care Associates of Hagerstown is seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Bilingual Medical Receptionist to join our busy adult primary care practice. We are looking for a motivated team player who is committed to providing exceptional customer service while treating every patient with kindness, compassion, and respect. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates excellent attendance and punctuality. This is a full-time front desk position responsible for both patient check-in and check-out functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Greet patients professionally and provide outstanding customer service. Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information in the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure patients complete all required registration and office forms. Answer a multi-line telephone system promptly, courteously, and efficiently. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Process medical records requests in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Assist with referrals, diagnostic orders, and other patient care coordination tasks. Sort, distribute, and process incoming faxes and electronic documents. Collect patient co-pays, balances, and other payments accurately. Review daily provider schedules for accuracy and identify scheduling errors or conflicts. Accurately document and communicate patient messages to providers and relay provider responses to patients in a timely manner. Perform general clerical and administrative duties as assigned to support office operations. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of receptionist experience required; experience in a medical office is preferred. Previous experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is preferred but not required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Proficient computer and data entry skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
