Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our small healthcare practice. We specialize in ophthalmology and are located in Rockville, Maryland. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks. Your energetic approach and communication skills will help streamline daily operations, and uphold the highest standards of patient service. Duties Greet patients with enthusiasm and provide exceptional customer service Schedule appointments and manage patient information using electronic health records Verify patient insurance information and process payments Manage medical records with attention to detail Assist with medical billing including posting payments to patient accounts Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently, and taking detailed messages when necessary Perform clerical duties such as appointment reminders, faxing, scanning documents, and managing office supplies. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area Requirements Reliability. We are a small team and count on each person to show up and contribute Proven experience in a medical office setting with front desk responsibilities Excellent communication skills Ability to demonstrate patience with difficult patients and diffuse problems Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with electronic health records is a plus Experience with medical billing and insurance claim processing is a plus Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is a plus
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
