We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk professional to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and check in efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks. Schedule patient appointments accurately, managing dental and medical calendars with precision. Collect and process payments, insurance information, and perform medical billing tasks including understanding health insurance policies like Medicare and HIPAA compliance. Review and update patient records ensuring documentation review aligns with clinical confidentiality policies. Handle phone communication with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and patient service skills to address inquiries and schedule appointments. Manage medical records filing, electronic health records (EHR) management, and maintain organized documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards. Assist with clinical support tasks such as verifying insurance benefits, coding procedures using CPT codes, ICD-9/ICD-10 codes, and supporting care plans documentation. Qualifications Proven experience in a dental clinic or medical office environment with strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or similar platforms. Demonstrated proficiency in medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD), and health insurance processes including Medicare. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with electronic health records management is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Prior clinic experience combined with clerical skills such as filing, 10-key typing, and medical records management is preferred. Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA is required. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
