Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a wide range of administrative and clinical support tasks. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment, streamline clinic operations, and ensure accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, medical administrative experience, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality healthcare delivery in a fast-paced setting. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression while managing phone calls with professionalism and courtesy Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, faxing, copying and scanning as required. Verify patient insurance coverage and collect patient's copay. Prepare and maintain accurate medical records, files, and reports while adhering to health information management standards Experience in a medical office setting preferred Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person while maintaining professional phone etiquette Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing speed of at least 10 key digits per minute Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of Mainecare billing and reprocessing claims a plus We value energetic professionals who thrive on providing exceptional service while supporting clinical operations.
