Job Description
•Immediate Opening
• We are a busy, growing orthopedic sports medicine practice seeking a friendly, dependable, and highly organized Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. As one of the first points of contact for our patients, this individual plays an important role in creating a welcoming patient experience while helping keep our clinic organized and running efficiently. Previous medical office experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates excellent customer service skills, reliability, professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine willingness to learn. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner Schedule patient appointments and assist with management of provider schedules Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and route messages appropriately Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and referrals Collect copayments, outstanding balances, and required documentation Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) Assist with patient paperwork, including consent forms, FMLA/disability forms, physical therapy documentation, and other administrative forms Perform general administrative duties including scanning, faxing, and data entry Communicate closely with providers and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Help maintain an organized and welcoming front desk and waiting area What We're Looking For Dependable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with patients Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using computers and learning new software Ability to retain information and adapt to established office workflows Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong problem-solving skills Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or customer service role preferred Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes, or authorizations is a plus Previous EMR experience preferred; Modernizing Medicine (ModMed) experience is a plus Schedule This is a full-time, in-person position, Monday through Friday. Front desk shifts rotate among team members based on the office schedule.
Monday & Wednesday:
Office open 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Rotating shifts: 7:30 AM-4:30 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00
PM Tuesday & Thursday:
Office open 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Rotating shifts: 8:00 AM-3:00 PM or 9:00 AM-4:00
PM Friday:
8:00 AM-3:30 PM Candidates must be available to work within these hours and participate in the rotating front desk schedule. Why Join Our Team? Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
