Job Overview Join our dental team as a Dental Receptionist/Front Desk Specialist, where your energetic and welcoming attitude will set the tone for an exceptional patient experience. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a vibrant healthcare environment dedicated to excellence and patient satisfaction. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and assist with check-in procedures. Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinate with clinical staff, and manage the clinic calendar to optimize patient flow. Collect and process payments, insurance co-pays, and perform medical billing using knowledge of health insurance policies including Medicare and HIPAA compliance. Review and update patient medical records, ensuring accuracy in documentation review and adherence to clinical confidentiality policies. Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing excellent customer service while managing appointment requests and answering patient inquiries. Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and ensure proper documentation of care plans. Support clinic operations by managing electronic health records (EHR) management, dental coding, and billing processes . Experience Prior experience in a dental office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills such as 10 key typing for data entry accuracy. Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations. Proven ability to deliver exceptional patient service while maintaining clinical confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations. Experience with medical terminology, health information management, and office administrative support is essential for success in this role. $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
